About me

My involvement in and passion for childcare and childhood education began when I was 14 years old, assisting my piano teacher with his toddlers’ lessons and tutoring school-age children in all subjects. I also moved on to assisting (then eventually becoming the lead teacher for) Creative Movement classes, a dance class designed for 2.5 to 5-year-olds as an introduction to ballet and dance, which encouraged students to explore the qualities of space, time, and flow, while developing body awareness and cognitive, motor, and expressive abilities.

For 3 years, I had the pleasure of being a full-time nanny for a wonderful family in Boston, Massachusetts. My responsibilities ranged from taking their then two and a half-year-old daughter to and from play dates, dance classes, doctors appointments, museums and so forth, to organizing fun and educational activities to stimulate her cognitive and creative growth. I have experience working with children and teens with special needs (ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome and physical disabilities) and the patience, compassion, care and natural ability to make a connection with children on a personal level so that I may help them grow according to their individual needs. I feel strongly about creating an environment with a healthy balance of creative freedom and educational growth, and genuinely enjoy being a part of a child's journey through this all!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

My passion for music will always be a part of me, and I cannot put into words the joy it brings me to share this with children. I have always found the performing arts to be an amazing creative outlet that has contributed to my own academic success, and I feel that one of my greatest strengths is connecting to children through music.
