About me

There is something so magical about the unbridled joy of children. As a manny and science educator, I have been so inspired and energized by the curious minds and enthusiastic hearts of the children I have worked with. I believe children are our future and take my responsibility as a caregiver and teacher very seriously. Learning should be fun, and I hope to create teachable moments out of everyday situations!

I have worked in New York City with multiple Smartsitting families as both a fulltime caregiver and afterschool nanny. I worked with my most recent family for two and a half years, eventually taking on some assistant duties as well. I am comfortable working within families and take this responsibility very seriously.

Beyond my passion for working with children, I care deeply about theatre and the environment. I graduated from The Ohio State University where I studied Theatre Performance and Environmental Education. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Teaching Science through Miami University/the Wildlife Conservation Society.

I value the arts and share my love for acting, dance, and music with those around me. I love crafting, specifically with recycled or repurposed materials. I care deeply about the natural world and the animals that inhabit it, feeling a personal responsibility to lead a sustainable and less wasteful life. I'd rather be outside than in front of a TV screen and strive to tackle each day with a smile and positive spirit. I love learning about the experiences of people different than me and hope to learn at least one new thing every day.

working in environmental education. I hope to develop a career that allows me to bring messages of resource conservation and environmental stewardship to young people while inspiring the next generation of civic leaders.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I enjoy sharing my love of theatre and music with children. I love being creative and am always encouraging children to engage their imaginations and to think outside the box. I love connecting children with the natural world, whether that's sharing animal facts, going on a hike or a walk outside, or learning about environmental science. In my personal life, I think it is so important to treat everyone with respect and to listen to and value the opinions of other people. I enjoy teaching kids manners and encouraging them to treat others the way that they would like to be treated.
