About me

I was born and raised in the most beautifully diverse and culturally rich city that is New York. When I was younger, one of my neighbors needed childcare during weekends, as she just got back into the workforce, so I helped watch her young children for a few hours, and I became like a big sister to them. Children have always seemed to gravitate towards me, and at one point I was the caretaker or tutor of just about every child in my building! It is rewarding to see how some of them have blossomed into amazing individuals.

My childcare experience has ranged from working with infants, to working with groups of children, helping to potty train triplets, assisting first time English speakers, youth with special needs, and everyone else in between. In the past I have also worked as a camp counselor, dance instructor and soccer director. I have mentored youth from low social economic backgrounds and extended my services abroad, teaching health education and hygiene in local rural communities. I currently get to work with school age children, working to promote their health and access to proper healthcare. I love the arts, so I enjoy allowing children to have a creative outlet, to participate in all art forms. I truly do love working with children, and seeing how a little of my impact, goes a long way in their own lives.
