About me

When I was thirteen, there was a babysitting training course held in my hometown that I took in order to watch some of the kids in my neighborhood. Now, almost ten years later I'm still working with kids! Since then I've worked as a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, and teacher. I've worked with children as young as six months to as old as fourteen, going from changing their diapers as a babysitter to teaching them how to tap dance in one of my classes. Working with kids on an intimate basis as their babysitter has helped me become a better teacher while working with kids on a professional basis as their teacher has helped me become a better babysitter. I am also CPR and First Aid trained by Frontline Health.

While working with children I create fun, safe, and open environments for structure and for play. As an actor, dancer, and singer I have no problem getting onto a child's level in terms of imagination. To me, imagination, creativity, and the arts foster the qualities of kindness, openness, and empathy in children that will last a lifetime. As a babysitter I am kind, patient, fun, silly, calm, and understanding. These are qualities that I hope by emulating the children I teach and the children I babysit will take with them. No matter the environment, be it a home, a classroom, or a dance studio, working with children is always rewarding!
