About me
I can't wait to play, laugh, and create with you! Let's write songs, invent our own sports, and practice reading and writing by making a brand new play!
As the oldest of four brothers, I have been taking responsibility for children from a very young age. As time progressed, I used the skills I learned taking care of my brothers and transferred them into paid babysitting positions. I have used my theatre degree from Northwestern to teach the arts at a variety of different educational institutions. My favorite experience to date has been working as a teacher at The Music Institute of Chicago. As a guest artist, I led students from Chicago Public Schools in creating art that reflects their shared community values. This summer, I taught children ages 5-8 in a camp setting, where I helped them write and perform their very own musical.
Before I graduated from Northwestern University, you could find me on campus acting, writing, or playing basketball. I served as a Co-Chairman for The Waa-Mu Show, the largest student-run musical in the country. I am passionate about writing for young audiences, and I recently finished a commission for a children's musical called "Jedi Masters" at BAMtheatre in Illinois.
The reason that I dedicate so much time to working with children is because I was blessed to have incredible teachers and caretakers as a child. I know firsthand how a teacher or a childcare provider can change a child’s life. I cherish the opportunity to give back and see how my impact can affect the growth of others.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Toddlers
- Preschoolers
- School-aged (K-5)

In five years I hope to be creating and acting in exciting plays, musicals, and films while continuing to give back as an arts educator!
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
As a theatre artist, I like to think of myself as a professional in make-believe. I love to bring my skills as an artist to my childcare, be it in the form of a tea party, a game of make-believe, or more structured activities such as teaching songwriting or learning a dance. My experience teaching at The Music Institute of Chicago has prepared me to help children write and perform their own musicals and plays, and I look forward to being able to bring these activities to my childcare as well. I am also an avid sports fan! I played organized baseball for nine years and also am constantly playing pick-up soccer, football, and basketball. I also studied Tae-Kwon-Do until I attended college. I am very comfortable teaching and playing sports in an educational and instructional manner.
