About me

Hi there! My name is Morgan Minor and I've been living in Brooklyn for 7 years now; a transplant from Northern California. I have two young nieces still there who I love dearly and visit whenever I can. I graduated from California State University Chico, with a degree in Liberal Studies focused on Elementary education and Child development. My focus in school was with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher, but after moving to New York post college, I jumped into nannying, and then more recently the corporate world.

I have always loved working with children. Let's face it, kids are funny! They brighten your day. I have been a babysitter/nanny since my teenage years, throughout college, and into my adult life. I have had the privilege of working with many children, of all ages and need. I have cared for newborns, infants, toddlers, school age, tweens and teens. I have worked with multiples, and with children who have special needs, and severe allergies. I have extensive experience ranging from mother's helper, one-on-one, small groups, and larger, class-like settings with 15-30 children. I'm extremely comfortable and knowledgable when it comes to childcare and wellbeing from experience, education, and research. In my last committed position, the family and I worked as a true team to give their three girls under five the best care they could have! Really, you name it, I've done it!

I want to provide the best care that is right for each individual situation and love to connect on your preferences. If you're looking for a fun focused sitter, I can be that! If you're focusing on sticking to your routine and schedule, you got it! I am CPR certified for infant through adult, and safety is a huge priority of mine (and comes first). I'm big on manners (please and thank you's). I know most baby sign language and development milestones. I love to read, explore, craft, be active and outdoors, play and imagine and have fun. I feel very comfortable preparing balanced meals for children, am an expert cleaner and organizer. I am extremely observant and detail oriented, which I find is really helpful for the families I serve.
