About me

For 5 years, I have dedicated myself to supporting the growth of children. I have worked with children in all stages of development from toddlers through young adulthood, and find amazing discoveries in every step. My main experience has been in elementary aged education, as I spent the past year working in an inner city school, teaching theater, dance, music and design as a tool for project based learning. I have experience dealing with children of varying needs and abilities, as well as a variety of living situations. My organizational and persistence skills allow me to thrive in a hectic city, and maintain my calm in difficult situations. I am a passionate theater teaching artist and home cook. Having a gluten allergy myself, I am well versed in allergy friendly cooking.

When working with children, I embrace a structured environment while letting imagination and spontaneity take center stage. I love to sit down and read, paint, act out or explore neighborhoods, as long as it promotes a safe and supportive learning environment for the child. I am incredibly detail oriented and reliable. I am a forward thinker, often seeing problems before they arise, and I always have a back up plan in my pocket.
