About me

I am a young artist who's been living, studying, and working in NYC for the last six years! I attended Pace University and got my BFA in Musical Theater in 2015 and, since then, I've been lucky enough to thrive as a working actor and teaching artist in the city.

Since high school, part of my artistic mission has been to empower children through arts education. Working as a camp counselor at performing arts camps throughout high school allowed me to pursue this mission with many different groups of students. In college, I started my own coaching service to help high school students prepare to audition for college performing arts programs. Most recently, since graduating college, I've joined forces with Artists Striving to End Poverty, an organization that provides arts education to underserved populations. With them, I've taught at the Refugee Summer Youth Academy here in NYC, and I've traveled all the way to India to teach theater at a unique and beautiful school called Shanti Bhavan.

For the last three years, I've worked with a family of three kids (9-year-old twins and their 5-year-old brother) Monday-Friday after school, and I've loved every second of it. Overall, I have childcare experience with children ages 4-16, though I most often work with kids in the 5-11 range.

Nannying here in the city has been a wonderful extension to my mission as an artist and I hope to find new families to build relationships with!

I am a type A personality! I graduated from college with a 4.0 and as a member of the Honors College - which lends itself to helping with homework, home organization, and personal assistance. As a professional, working actor in NYC, my lifestyle would also lend itself to working with creative children - I love playing make believe, reading stories, and going on adventures in NYC!

While working with children, I maintain structure while searching for every opportunity to be creative and playful. I employ my own philosophy of time management and detailed planning to the way I lead children through their often very busy days. Alongside that, I allow my creativity and high energy to keep days full of things that spark interests, pique curiosities, and get children up and moving!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

a working actress in the city and also a teacher in some capacity. As a teaching artist, I'd love to continue doing work abroad because going to India was such an eye-opening and gratifying experience. In general, I hope that by that point, many exciting opportunities have opened doors for me and taken me places that I cannot even begin to imagine right now! Oh, and fingers crossed that my student loans are almost paid off!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

READING! Honestly one of my favorite things to do with kids. I'll have them love taking trips to the library! Singing, music, theater, softball, the Museum of Natural History, Brooklyn Children's Museum, bike riding, swimming, ice skating at Prospect Park, finding new parks and playgrounds, make believe, crafts, the occasional movie night, board games.
