About me

When I first started as an Assistant Drama teacher in my local community theatre in high school, I realized that I was passionate about working with children and exploring their wonderful, unique insights into life. Born and raised in North Carolina, I was a Vocal Performance major at Furman University. My passions include acting, singing, reading and being with family and friends.

I have worked with children of all ages, from toddler to teenagers, and I enjoy every age group. I worked as a Residential Life Coordinator for a boarding school where I lived with 26 teenagers. I have also worked extensively with ages 6-12, as both a teacher and a babysitter.

I am very kind and empathetic, and I love getting to bond with children and find out what makes them tick. I adore playing pretend with kids (I am an actor, after all!), and I love games and going outside. As a huge advocate of education, I enjoy helping kids with their homework and love to read out loud, in as many character voices as possible. I am passionate to share my love of any of the arts and watch children explore what their own talents and interests are. I would be very interested in helping with music lessons, especially in voice or piano.
