About me

I have been helping take care of and teach children for almost 10 years, doing everything from teaching children's ballet classes, working in a formal school environment as a teacher's assistant, tutoring, doing research in an infant development lab, as well as good old-fashioned babysitting and nannying.

I have experience working with children of all ages, but I especially love to work with infants and toddlers! I find so much joy in seeing the discoveries that young minds make every day, and because of my experience working in an infant development lab, I know how important those first years of life are for teaching a child kindness, love, independence, and a love of learning.

I'm an MFA student in playwriting at Columbia University, and I bring my creativity and love of theater to every job I have. I love to read stories with kids and then encourage kids to think about them in a new way by writing their own story, putting on a play, making a dance, or drawing pictures about it. For younger kids, dancing around to music, playing pretend with costumes and forts, and experimenting with different senses are my go-tos. Creative play is the name of my game!

I am described by all who know me as energetic, independent, and innovative. I want to encourage the children I care for to pursue their inspirations and think about the world in a new way, all within the safe, supportive environment that I create - an environment that is so critical for giving children the confidence and support they need in their formative years.

Most importantly, I love children and infants, and I have the experience and passion to be an excellent caregiver and teacher to them.
