About me

Tabula rasa, is a philosophy brought forth by philosopher John Locke. It suggest that everyone is born with a blank slate, and who one becomes is based on their environment and the experiences they have. As an early childhood educator for over ten years, I understand how crucial the experiences a child has is to their development. As an early educator most of my experience is with infants, toddlers, and pre schoolers. I have facilitated developmentally appropriate activities for each age group including art and sensory activities.

Every child deserves an education, beginning at birth, that embraces the whole child. An education that includes an emphasis on social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. My interactions with your child not only encourages the development of the whole child, but also has an emphasis of the Montessori philosophy. It is one that encourages self expression and independence, as well as adventure, all while learning.

In 5 years I will be finished with graduate school and will be working within the counseling field. I hope to make a difference in the lives of children by being a supportive ear for those struggling with depression and mental illness.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to read books to children. I am a strong believer in the importance of reading to kids to help foster the skills essential for reading. I also believe art is an important source of self expression and should always be encouraged.
