About me

Hi there! I am a Brooklyn-based Childcare Professional, with roughly 15 years of babysitting experience, and I've worked mostly with children between the ages of 4-13. My responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: meal preparation/home-cooking, medicine distribution, school pick-up and drop-off, homework help, bathing & grooming, laundry, light housework, shuttling to and from play-dates and appointments, story time, imaginary games, outdoor activities, sports, pet wrangling, arts & crafts, dancing, theatre games, and of course, bed-time.

In terms of my recent families, for the past two and a half years, I've babysat a pair of sisters (currently ages 12 and 10), and before that I babysat for twin girls that I had known off and on since age 7. For a brief time, I also worked for a family consisting of two boys (ages 5 and 8).

Furthermore, I've worked as a camp counselor, a role that required me to closely supervise a large group of pre-teen girls. I would say that my childcare style is engaging, and nurturing. I believe in kindness and respect when dealing with children, and I will always give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I do believe in firmly upholding the rules established by the parents, and so I am comfortable disciplining when necessary. Finally, I consider myself to be a fun babysitter! I'm up for any activity, particularly anything that keeps a child on his or her feet (as opposed to buried in phones or iPads).

In addition to childcare, I'm a freelance writer with an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU, and I'm also a certified makeup artist. Consequently, I feel I'm a jack of all trades, and strongly believe I have the tools to entertain, delight, and support your kiddos. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to meet your family!
