About me

I am a graduate from Indiana University where I studied English and Journalism. I grew up an only child so I always loved being around kids, since I didn't get that experience at home. I enjoy that each day spent with children is unpredictable and never boring.

I have 7 years of experience watching children of a variety of ages, from newborn to 12 years old. I've become very familiar with the different developmental stages, but I also recognize that all children develop differently. I regularly watched a family of 4 children aged 6, 4, 2 and 6 months so I'm very flexible. My duties at my previous jobs included meal preparation, transportation, organizing activities, supervision and entertainment. I'm very organized and can keep track of each child's unique schedule. I'm also used to having my hands full and can juggle each child's individual needs.

I also volunteered as an English teacher and received a teaching certificate so I can plan fun lessons and help with homework. I love reading, crafts, baking and outdoor activities! I am patient with kids and have a lot of energy. I was a gymnast for 12 years so I love being active and encouraging the kids to be too. I'm also comfortable with pets and have a dog and cat at home. I've enjoyed and learned a lot from my experiences and look forward to continuing my work with children!
