About me

As the last of a family of five, it was super exciting to welcome my nieces and nephews home form the hospital. It was my responsibility to keep them entertained. I would sing, make animated noises and we would even have a normal conversation. At the age of sixteen I became a peer counsellor, where I was given the opportunity to volunteer to community events for children within the age range of five to eleven. I helped at events like fairs, library workshops and tea parties just to name a few. Progressively my involvement in child related activities within the community continued and was an influencing factor in my decision to persue studies in Sociology.
I believe that a child's socialization is eminent to their development. Hence, working with children from the age of two to seven for the past five years has afforded me the opportunity in being a positive human resource aiding excellence in all aspects. That is, both academically and through extra curricular activities. Children are curious, imaginative and have absorbent minds which creates an opportunity to help them learn new things on a daily basis. This further enables me as a babysitter to learn from them and ensuring my behaviour is of a positive role model. Furthermore, their honesty and genuineness facilitates their involvement in daily activities. Cooking is something that I enjoy doing and it was very nice to have my "little helpers" decide on new recipes and give a helping hand in the kitchen. As a young energetic, responsible and spontaneous individual, it is very satisfactory for me to go exploring, using high levels of energy, having cute conversations with little people that I have grown to love and are a reflection of whom I am and with a positive influence.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children how to prepare healthy snacks and nutritious meals. Also, arts and crafts are important because it gives an opportunity for them to out their imaginative ideas and creativity to work. Furthermore, making our own silly songs in the bathe is such a relaxing way to end the day.
