About me

I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania called Lock Haven, and moved to NYC to pursue a career in musical theatre after I graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I am a creative, outgoing, silly person who truly loves kids and their curious minds. As a kid myself, I had a vivid imagination and now as an adult, I look for any chance to play make believe again and I have to say, as an actor, I think it makes me pretty good at it. I love having real, meaningful conversations with children. I think they have a pretty amazing outlook on the world around them and it always offers me a lot of perspective.

I have wide range of babysitting and nanny experience with ages 3-13, as well as teaching experience. I was fortunate enough after my college graduation to live in Lock Haven for a few months and teach some local young artists beginning voice, piano, music theory, and acting. It was such an amazing experience that I will always cherish. I loved tapping into their creative minds and just having fun. Being an actor and musician gives me an immense amount of tools to use to entertain young minds. I love making what might seem like a difficult or tricky situation a fun game or a teachable moment. Overall, I am a kind, compassionate and patient person who loves all kinds of music, theatre, any kind of trivia game, and just embracing the curiosity of life.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Working in the theatre arts in any capacity. Right now, I am pursuing a career as a actor, but I also know I have a lot of other great talents that could be utilized in the theatre world. For example, I really can see myself teaching theatre to young adults or maybe even at a college program. I just know I want to be doing something with passion and maybe not in 5 years, but down the road, definitely have a family of my own.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love sharing my passion for theatre, music, and dance. Whether that might be having a Disney sing-a-long or making up a fun dance routine, I am always down for creative time. One of my favorite things to do is read to children. I love doing voices and bringing the story to life. It is also so amazing when kids can read to me! Getting to practice their reading skills is so important and I look for any chance to nurture that skill. I also believe that patience is a skill. I think it is so important to show children how valuable patience can be when dealing with a crowded subway platform, maybe a sibling, or even just having patience with me. It is something that I truly value in today's busy, fast-paced society.
