About me

I have 6 years of experience nannying in NYC, plus additional experience nannying in North Carolina prior to moving here. I have flexible availability, can comfortably navigate my way around the city, and am versed in educational and fun ways to keep children safely occupied. I believe in actively engaging at all times. For example, narrating the day for a child is so important. From simple things like "now we are putting your coat on" to "the sky is so beautiful and blue today", explaining the world around him/her is vital to growth and success. I enjoy taking my charges on walks through the park, and to the playground once they are old enough. New York City has so many resources to take advantage of, and I try to do that to the best of my ability with each child placed in my care. From museum trips to play dates, craft projects to assisting children in meeting basic milestones, I feel well versed and confident in my childcare abilities.

I have worked in many different areas of child care. Positions I have held include full-time nanny, overnight care, live-in nanny, occasional babysitter for multiple families as well as nursery worker, day care attendant and children's choir teacher. My experience has given me the opportunity to work with children of every age, birth through 13 years old. I enjoy working with children because I am a nurturer. I love taking care of things/people. I enjoy teaching children and watching them grow both physically and mentally. There is no greater reward than impacting the life of a child, in my opinion.
