About me

I am the modern Mary Poppins! My most valuable qualification is that I adore children, and I love what they love. I am the oldest of four children. I love talking with kids about things they are interested in; I love hearing about their friends, sports, hobbies, and school fun. I love learning new things from little kids and teaching them things I know, like basic cooking. I am a neat freak and a safety wizard. I am obsessed with keeping little ones safe and happy. I love cleaning and keeping my nanny kids looking sharp and clean.

I also love working with kids on their emotional intelligence that will help them become great adults. I always encourage kids to tell me how they are feeling or why they acted a certain way to resolve a conflict. I am extremely energetic and warm. Children really love me and I love them.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I hope to be working on my career in writing or communication. I would love to be published in Bustle or another indie, online publication. I want to find a way nurture my soul by spending time with little kids while at the same time building my skills and adding experience to my corporate resume. I hope to go back to Europe at some point with my dear study-abroad friends. I want to see my littlest brother grow to be taller than my other younger brother.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to read Harry Potter with all the accents! I love acting out actions scenes from Star Wars and LOTR, or making "potions" at Hogwarts out of water and spices. I like sharing my baking skills and treats with little ones, as well as basic cooking skills like boiling water and safely cutting vegetables and fruits. I love singing, so making a rock band or performing a play would be an awesome project to design with my nanny kids. I would love to incorporate basic Spanish words into everyday tasks so that the children grow used to the sounds and saying the words. I like going on nature walks, finding leaves, bugs, and sticks to safely poke at stuff and examine it.
