About me
Growing up in a small town in Florida, as the eldest of two and the child of a single mother, I was often eager to babysit my younger brother, family members, and family friends' children without an ounce of hesitation. So when my mother, who had a second job as a Sunday Pre-School teacher, allowed me to assist with her lessons, my passion for childcare blossomed. Since then, I have had the pleasure of exploring my passion for being a caregiver.
I have extensive experience caring for special needs children with physical and developmental disabilities, children with learning disabilities, and multiples. I feel comfortable and confident caring for children of all ages, from infancy to young adults. I am unquestionably accomplished in all matters of child care, including but not limited to: changing diapers, pre-doctors visit pep talks, lending a listening ear and teaching valuable life lessons such as respect, the importance of giving back to your community, how deep breathing and meditation can bring you a clear mind, why communication is key and why any childs' feelings are valid.
I am passionate about nurturing young minds and helping children recognize their potential. I believe that no dream is too big for any child to achieve, that every day is a wonderful day for an adventure, and lessons can be learned through every experience. I enjoy creating the most magical, loving, and safe environment possible for children to grow, learn and explore daily. I strive to be a positive role model to each child I work with and someone whom children enjoy confiding in because it comes naturally. I seek to be not just a caregiver but a genuine friend to the children in my care.
I pride myself on being a positive, energetic, fun-loving, communicative, compassionate, detail-oriented, and organized team player who loves to utilize my multi-tasking skills in any way that I can. I am an out-of-the-box thinker who takes pleasure in finding a solution to every equation. I am presently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition. Additionally, I hold a New York State Certified Nursing Assistant License, a BLS/Advanced CPR certification, and a First Aid certification.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I genuinely enjoy sharing my love of cooking and baking with children. I believe the strongest bonds are made in the kitchen while creating food filled with love. I also enjoy helping children bring life to the magical worlds within their imaginations. Whether through writing, painting/coloring, music, dancing, or imaginative play. Additionally, I love teaching children how to center themselves and effectively communicate their emotions. How to take a few deep breaths, assess how they’re feeling (overstimulated, upset, frustrated, etc.), and validate their feelings in the process. Above all, an essential skill that I enjoy teaching children is how to instill confidence in themselves - to always be true to their hearts while giving them gentle guidance until they feel confident in all of their decisions.
