About me
I am a writer who studied Media at The King's College in Manhattan. I grew up in an adventurous family -- we traveled constantly and my parents ran their own business. I just got back from traveling solo around Europe for six months. Home is where my ability to care for other people, especially younger children, began. As the eldest sister, I was often responsible for my younger siblings and I enjoyed the responsibility that came with this role. It instilled me with a life-long love for helping other people, especially children, succeed and flourish.
That's what motivates me as a nanny. I love being responsible for children and contributing to their well-being. I love seeing the way children see the world. I appreciate their curiosity, their carefree attitudes, their love for having fun, their light-heartedness. I have an energetic, imaginative personality myself, so being around them is lots of fun. I also love working as a nanny because I'm passionate about seeing families who choose to live and raise kids in the City thrive. I know living in the city as a family isn't easy. I think what they're doing requires a lot of courage and I love to help them achieve their mission by being a fun and reliable nanny.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Toddlers
- School-aged (K-5)
- Preteen
- Teenagers
- Twins
- Multiples
In 5 years, I hope to be...
I would love to have traveled more. I would like to be working towards the credentials necessary to be a college professor. I would like to still be writing professionally about cities, culture and economic development. I hope to be married and involved in my neighborhood, city and church, wherever that is.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to teach them how to write (stories, poems, letters). I would love to share my skills as a photographer. I enjoy arts and crafts and exploring the city if they're up for that. I know how to cook, so if they're old enough, we can make pizzas or cookies. I love to work on recitations (poems, plays, songs) or learn a fun new dance.
