About me
Do a little more than you're paid to. Give a little more than you have to. Try a little harder than you want to. Aim a little higher than you think possible. I have scoured my memories of the past only to find out that I have given. I gave love, compassion, and assistance to my younger siblings. I voluntarily helped my grandparents with tasks around the house, I made sure our pets always had water and food, and I gave my time to whoever needed it. Needless to say, the nurturing and caring attribute were innately embedded in my character for as long as I can remember, and for that very reason, I started working in the childcare field.
I have accumulated over five years of professional work experience in the childcare industry with children of various age groups, and find it effortless to convey love and compassion towards children. The mind of a child is very precious and I take pride in optimizing the potential of their growing minds.
In 2009 I was elected the position of "Youth Leader" in my church, and was a "Peer Educator" at my high school (elected by the guidance counselor). In my spare time I enjoy reading, singing, bicycle riding, learning new things, and volunteering at the animal shelter. I transitioned into the medical field as an RN student, and currently work per diem at a Children's Hospital in the Emergency Department.
It takes a community to raise a child and children live what they learn. I believe that my compassionate nature, swift learning, attentive eyes, and pediatric ER experience will enhance my ability to be a SmartSitter to your bundle of joy.
