About me

I come from a big family and grew up taking care of two little brothers and ten cousins younger than me. Caring for, playing with, and teaching children is in my DNA. When I was around 13 years old I started caring for other families' children and then took a class to get Red Cross babysitter certified. I have worked with children from infancy through young adulthood as both a babysitter and summer camp counselor, and have also tutored children in math, English, and Spanish. I love connecting with kids and forming relationships with them - every child’s voice is something to be heard and each child’s opinion matters.

I just recently left my job in PR as a senior account executive to pursue my passion for acting. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with and care for children again more frequently. I am extremely organized, detail oriented, and and am great at multitasking (leading 13 accounts at the agency really sharpened this skill). I believe above all else that every child should be taught how to treat other people with respect. Treating others how you would want to be treated is my nanny mission statement. Growing up, my nanny always instilled this in me and my brothers. It is something I strive to be an example of for other kids to understand through my own actions and words.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Performing on stages around New York City and beyond... with the children I take care of in the audience! In addition to my acting endeavors, I always see myself caring for kids. I hope to continue volunteering at local non-profits and continuing my work with the March of Dimes and Children’s Miracle Network.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children about respecting one another, practicing patience, solving problems, being independent, having organizational skills, and putting safety first. I’ve tutored children in math, English and Spanish (I am a Spanish language minor and lived abroad in Barcelona for five months). I love arts and crafts, reading, cooking and baking with children - these activities always prove to be a ton of fun. Additionally, I have experience caring for children with learning disabilities. Both of my brothers have ADD and growing up in a household with them, I’ve learned how to practice patience when they are having frustrations with homework, and how to help them look at something in a different way.
