About me

I am a devoted and professional nanny with over 20 years of experience working with children ages newborn to 12 years old in diverse home settings. I have three wonderful children who are now grown and have two adorable grandsons. I am very family oriented and enjoy spending time cooking, laughing and spending quality time with my family.
   
I have worked long term with three wonderful families, and I am very lucky to still have a special bond with each. I believe my love for children can be seen from miles away and the passion and dedication I have for what I do best is what sets me apart from others. I am devoted to providing exceptional care while also making sure to meet the physical and emotional needs of each child.
   
My number one priority is the safety of the children in my care. I will spend time nurturing and encouraging them and teaching them new skills each and every day. I am honest, reliable, respectful of others, kind, and nurturing. I am energetic and able to quickly create a special bond with children while at the same time respecting their family's privacy. I put my mind and heart into caring for the children in my care and will always be on the same page as the parents. I am excellent at communicating and keeping parents informed, such as taking pictures at the park or giving a rundown of how our day was spent. I will always arrive to work happy and with a positive attitude. I have a great sense of humor and really enjoy fostering fun, creative experiences for children. It is my joy and passion to care for children while I notice and nurture their unique gifts and abilities. I believe that each child is unique and I focus on building self esteem and confidence through positive feedback.
   
I can easily adapt to routines and schedules, and I have no problem following the lead of the parents. I honestly can't think of a time when I wished I had chosen a different career, I am passionate about being a nanny and working with children. I have been fortunate enough to be involved with caring for children as young as 4 weeks old and being there throughout their many stages right up to preteens. I still send birthday, graduation, and holiday cards and gifts to the families, and some of the older kids and I keep in touch via Facebook and phone calls and I wouldn't have it any other way.
