About me

My name is Alexis Rondon, and I am a young New Yorker full of energy and charisma. When I'm not molding and hanging out with cool kids, I'm either making music and performing, or serving lovely, fresh cocktails and dishes at various restaurants in the city. During my summers, I have the pleasure and honor of being the Girl's Unit Director at Camp Fiver. I was very fortunate to be a part of this program growing up, and now I get to pay it forward. Camp is really where my heart is, and I feel the best about the work I do there. I get to be the mentor and friend of about 500 young men and women ages 8-18. These kids would tell you I'm wacky, fun and imaginative, as well as caring, and nurturing. I enjoy creating new and exciting themed days and classes, making up songs, and getting messy with crafts.

One of my favorite things to do is have lengthy conversations with children because they teach me so much. I'm always so inspired after talking with kids of all ages about anything; whether it be about imaginative things, things going on in that child's life, discovering answers to life's questions together. I'm always so gracious to have these talks, and for these children to trust me with their thoughts. I am still a child at heart. I still climb trees, play tag, finger paint, you name it. I'm just a huge kid.
