About me
When I was a little girl and someone would ask me what I want to do when I grow up, I never even hesitated; it was a teacher. I wanted to work with children (even though I was one) and would work with my little brother and his friends doing crafts, cooking, sports, music and so much more! I started babysitting local friends and family at an extremely young age and was given responsibilities of an a adult (and I loved it)! It never felt like work for me as I was, and still am, always excited to nanny or babysit. I have worked with the entire range of children from newborns all the way up until 18 years old. I have worked in-home, classrooms, camps, and many other places.
When I work with children, a sense of structure is necessary but also I think play-based discovery is extremely important. As a teacher, I feel confident with any type of school subjects as well. I have been working as a full time teacher for the past 5 years. Working with children is by far and away my passion in life. I genuinely love waking up knowing I can change the life of a child and their family. I have babysat and nannied for children that range from newborns all the way to young adults. I have been responsible for organizing activities, making lunch and dinners, homework time, doing crafts and playing games and sports, and keeping the home and bedrooms neat and clean.
I consider myself to be extremely patient, caring, and warm. I am very outgoing and upbeat and I love to keep that attitude within the children. I think consistency is extremely important and I will be sure to keep with whatever rules the parents and caregivers already have in place. I have my Master’s degree in General and Special Education from birth-grade 6 and have worked with children for over ten years. I have run camps for general education along with children with autism, learning disabilities, and hearing impairments (among other things). Most recently, I have been working as an assistant and prior was a teacher at a Special Education Preschool before moving back to New York!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I would love to share my love for crafts and sports along with any help in school subjects. I also absolutely love to bake and I think it is so fun to bring it into the home. I also am an avid reader, so I think trips to the library can be so fun and rewarding!
