About me

I am an ambitious, adaptable, and enthusiastic person who finds daily inspirations in her surroundings and has found herself time and time again amused by the lens through which children see the world. My interest is in the arts and how it can be used as a tool for self-expression and communication particularly where it concerns the physical arts such as dance, and theater. As a dance teacher for children of all ages (5-18) I have seen first-hand the beautiful effect expression through the arts can have on humans of all ages. Crossing dance and childcare has allowed me to assert my energetic nature and nurturing spirit. Being raised by teachers, I too find in myself the mindset of a teacher interesting in developing others’ potential whether they are my students or my friends.

I love children because of their spunky honesty and point of view. I enjoy empathizing with them, attempting to understand what they are thinking and what would lead them to that process. In many cases I have found the uncomplicated yet truly creative view a child has sincerely inspiring.

Other interests of mine include journaling/writing stories, poetry, and plays; walking through parks; and investing in other cultures, learning about different music, learning new languages. In all these ways New York has been a wonderful and highly engaging place to live. I am a curious and art-inclined person who loves people and examining the human experience, especially where it concerns those humans who are seeing so much of the world for the first time!
