About me

I have always loved working with children. I am constantly inspired and energized by the kids I work with, and reminded of all the excitement that can be found in everyday life. My number one child care philosophy is that no two kids are alike and if you listen and watch, you will always find out what a child needs and how best to communicate with them.

I have worked with children for 10 years, ranging from watching one infant to overseeing rambunctious play dates. No matter what age a child is, I always feel incredibly lucky to have the chance to rediscover the world through their eyes. I see children as fascinating little adults full of endless possibility, and am honored to have the chance to look out for them and help them along the way.

I have been an opera singer my whole life, since falling in love with opera at the age of 7. Opera is an art form full of imagination and suspension of disbelief. In a way, it is a career based on make believe and playing dress up! I am also a passionate reader, and love writing stories and poems. I think this love of stories and imagination ties in with my love of children.

Some of my most important childhood memories are of my mother reading to me, so naturally I now love reading aloud to kids. I also love drawing, singing, making music, and inventing games. Anything creative and exploratory is just as fun for me as it is for them!
