About me
From a young age I have always had a thirst for knowledge and discovery. As I have grown older, I not only continue this journey, but strive to impress these passions on the children and young people in my life as well. This ambition had made me the energetic and creative individual I have become and served to cultivate a love of adventure, travel, and just life in general. Like the children I work with, I also like to simply have fun and not take myself too seriously. Parks, playgrounds, and spending time outdoors are not only a great way to have fun, but also introduce new learning experiences in a refreshing way. In addition to this I have a passion for literature and writing and encourage children to explore the limitless worlds inside their minds as well as outside their front door.
I have experience with children of many different ages, not only within my very large family, but professionally as well. Since being as young as 13 I have been employed as an occasional and date night babysitter for children ages 4-10. As I have grown, I have continued to collect more experience, broadening my horizons as a part-time caregiver for toddlers and infants as young as 5 weeks old to preteens and teenagers. In addition to this I have two beautiful nieces and a nephew that I absolutely adore, and who have really amplified my love for children and skills in caring for them.
I believe in approaching every day with a positive, energetic attitude and tending every issue with patience and understanding. I believe mutual respect and trust are essential to caring for children and I always seek to build this in my practice. I believe there is not just one way to parent and I strive to adapt to each family's parenting style in order to keep the child's life as consistent and stress-free as possible.
I work with children because I truly love and enjoy what I do. In the future I hope to bring as much positivity and inspiration to their lives as they do to mine.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers
- Preschoolers
- School-aged (K-5)

In 5 years, I hope to be...
Independently employed as a writer, more specifically a film writer or a published novelist. I would like to orchestrate a life compelled by the impetus of discovery and knowledge, continuing to explore and grow as an individual. Ideally, I would like to work based on my own schedule, allowing me more time to spend with my family and to watch my nieces and nephew grow.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I always share my love of reading and outdoors with the children I care for. I like to encourage them to grow physically and mentally to help develop both the mind and body and cultivate confidence within themselves. I love to explore parks and playgrounds paying particular attention to nature and wildlife. I also consider myself a creative person, so I strive to impart creative thinking, innovative problem solving, and artistic ability through fun and creative activities.
