About me

Since graduating from college, I have had the opportunity to work and train extensively in childcare and learn to create innovative and fun programming for children. At the 14th Street Y, I teach both Theater Games and Harry Potter’s World to kids ages 5-9 and I seek to instill confidence and a love of learning in all of my students. In addition to teaching, I have also babysat for many families of varying backgrounds and served as the Assistant Unit Head for Performing Arts at New Country Day Camp where I got first hand experience creating youth programming. I have served as a nanny, occasional sitter, and mommy’s helper and I am fully capable of light cooking and housework. I have also worked with a SmartSitting family for over a year, doing pickups, dropoffs, playdates and doctor's appointments. The girls are 11 and 8.

Outside of my work at the Y, I am a comedian and improviser with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I try to bring the go-with-the-flow attitude of improv into my work as a sitter, and find that my favorite part of working with kids is the freedom to make believe, play games, and be silly. I love crafts, coloring, reading and games and especially enjoy exploring parks and museums!
