About me
Ever since I was in third grade, I've known I wanted to work with kids. I am silly, and love to express myself through dance and singing. I am compassionate and care for others’ thoughts and feelings. I enjoy engaging children in their topics of interest to make them feel valuable.
I worked as a babysitter/nanny throughout high school and college. I learned how to be dependable and responsible. I learned how to effectively divide time between siblings and how to monitor conflicts and resolutions. After I obtained my Bachelor's degree in elementary education, I worked as a third grade teacher. I really enjoyed sharing my love of reading, engaging my students in reading aloud and talking about characters and story lines. As rewarding as teaching was, I realized I wanted to work one-on-one with children instead of working with large groups. I started to appreciate the time I could dedicate to each child, making him/her feel valuable and important. I decided to pursue a meaningful career in individual child development. I am currently working as a nanny on the Upper West Side for two boys and have enjoyed spending time with the boys and watching them grow.
I appreciate the wonder and joy in discovering and building value to young minds. I love watching young children explore their world. I recently worked in an orphanage in Haiti, and was amazed at the curiosity and wonder in those children. They were so fascinated by the newness of life outside of Haiti. I realized how important it is to provide children with an opportunity for discovery.
I know my passion and calling is to work with children.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
There are a few aspects of my life that I would love to share with children, my love for the outdoors, my love of reading, and my love for movement and music. Growing up as a ballet dancer, most of my life was spent in learning how to express myself in creative and unique ways, I would enjoy sharing that with children.
