About me

I'm a North Carolina native and have been living in this wonderful city for about 3 years. In a place that is so fast paced, it's nice to be able to slow down to stop and smell the roses, which is exactly how children always think, and it is one of the main reasons I enjoy working in the child care field so very much.

I am a fun, loving, outgoing and experienced sitter. I have worked with children as young as 12 months all the way up to 18 years old. I have coached children in gymnastics, cheerleading and soccer, as well as worked for families as a babysitter. I enjoy working with children because the excitement and joy they bring to even the smallest everyday tasks, makes me feel like I'm always learning new ways to experience and enjoy life.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from East Carolina University, and I have found that my performance background really helps me in my interaction with children. I have learned many techniques and different approaches with children over the years, and it is absolutely fascinating how no two children are the same. Every child learns and develops at their own rate, and being able to be a part of that growth and development is one of the most rewarding aspects of working with children.
