About me

I am an artist, an educator, and a pizza lover!

I have an Associate's Degree from PCPA (Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts) in Santa Maria, CA, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.
About a year and a half ago, myself and my theater company - Boom! Theater, which I helped start in Seattle, WA, decided to make the move to the big apple to follow our dreams.

In Seattle, when I wasn't working with my theater company, producing new and original works, I was teaching at an arts and science preschool called, Huckleberry Forest. I taught art, theater, Spanish, and cooking. I assisted in dance, music, and science. I also did extra babysitting for families in the school and was a part time nanny for one of the students.

I have been teaching and working with kids since I was in high school. My drama teacher inspired me to become a teacher and an activist for the arts. My theater training has provided me with strong leadership skills and the ability to think on my feet, as well as the importance of being patient, kind, and creative.

I am continually learning and finding new ways to engage kids and to help them grow. I recently finished a yoga kids training through Hosh Yoga in Brooklyn. I learned a bunch of exercises and games that use yoga to help kids relax, find balance, and have fun while doing it. I love teaching kids to be lifelong learners and explorers. I believe that kids are like sponges and if you give them a chance to learn they will soak it up.
