About me

As an independent pre-teen, I made cute little babysitting postcards and passed them around my neighborhood. Over thirteen years later, I am still in contact with the families of children I babysat, and have become a "big sister" that the children can call for advice or mentorship.

I am an avid sports fan, and am still an active swimmer and occasional soccer coach. I strongly believe in the "ancient" joys of playing outside as opposed to staring at a TV or tablet. For me, learning is an active sport, and I aim to pass this sentiment along to the kids I care for. Whether we are playing in the park or touring a new exhibit at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, every adventure is one for learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy designing apparel and accessories, which was inspired by my love for all things arts and crafts-y. I contribute my love for working with children to my own vivid imagination and ability to see the beauty in the simplest treasures. I enjoy crafting, decorating and baking with kids to really squeeze our creative juices. I strongly believe that children are as much a mentor to me, as I am to them.

I am a well-rounded sitter, and have worked with infant to teenaged children hailing from various ethnic groups and backgrounds. I enjoy traveling with families and exploring new horizons. I'm not afraid to impart a little "tough love" on kids, as that is what's needed for our future leaders to truly grow. I'm so excited to be a part of the network, and look forward to working with you!
