About me
I'm a yoga practitioner and teacher, who studied child psychology at Rutgers University. As an undergraduate student, I worked as a research assistant in various developmental psychology labs. After graduating with a B.A. in psychology, I worked as a lab manager at The Child Study Center at Rutgers University. My original plan was to continue my graduate studies and become a researcher, but I was more interested in getting hands on experiences so I decided to look for work with families and children.
I worked as a child and family advocate for two years before deciding to dedicate more time to teaching yoga and creative movement to children. I've been a dancer and singer (not always professionally) ever since I was a little child. I'm passionate about teaching, and I really enjoy working with children. Their energy, innocence, and rawness really humble me and teach me so much about what matters in life. In many ways, they teach me and help me grow as much as I help them. I believe that movement and music are paramount in children's development, and since both music and movement are such a natural part of my life, it's no wonder that I'm attracted to working with children.
When I work with children, I create a safe and structured space where they can express their creativity without feeling judged. I believe that every child is an artist, and childhood is an important time to cultivate creativity and self-expression. As a yogi, my main goal in life is to serve, nurture, and love others. There is no greater joy for me than serving children in a way that makes them feel empowered, whether it's through teaching or care taking.

Running a successful business in delivering yoga and mindfulness curriculum to children in preschools, public schools, and private schools. I hope to also incorporate curriculum that addresses social and emotional intelligence, and environmental and social justice issues.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love teaching and sharing almost everything I'm passionate about. The most obvious would be yoga, creative dance and movement, and singing. I also love to teach ukulele, basic cooking skills, gymnastics and acrobatics, being a green and responsible citizen of the world, English and Chinese nursery rhymes, and reading stories from around the world.
