About me

I started babysitting from a young age since I am the oldest cousin in a big family. I realized I loved playing a role in the lives of children no matter how great or small, so I began volunteering and working as a babysitter/nanny and teacher. Throughout my career I have assistant taught classes, tutored, and taken care of children in all stages of development, from infancy to young adult. Whether it be making a baby smile, playing games, or teaching kids leadership and communication skills, I have enjoyed every moment of my work. There is so much children have to offer and I feel honored to be a part of their growth in any way.

I am very detail oriented, organized, compassionate, and self-motivated allowing me to stay present, plan events and outings that are personal and fun. I love to do all sorts of arts and crafts and sports. I played soccer and swam for many years, and love to be active. I also teach acting and music. I love to cook and bake too!

When working with children, I create a secure, structured environment while leaving plenty of room for creative fun. Being an artist, I'm a strong advocate in learning through play and experience, and through trial and error. At the same time, I am the daughter of a scientist and writer, allowing me to value and understand all types of learning: traditional and nontraditional. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I also value cultural diversity and exploration. My family taught me strong communication skills and I strive to keep an open and good communications with the families and children I work with. In addition, I do a lot of volunteer work and love to share the importance of helping others with children.
