About me

From the birth of my little sister when I was eight years old, I knew I loved spending time with children. After taking a Red Cross babysitting class at age 11, my babysitting career truly began.

In college I helped found Nashville's youth theater, The Theater Bug, where I have worked off and on for the past four years as an instructor and teaching artist over a variety of different programs with children aged 4-18. Working with groups of children numbering up to 50 at a time taught me the importance of structure and respect from the children I work with, while still being able to preserve a positive and fun atmosphere. My work at the Bug has taught me the importance of patience and kindness, both in myself and the children I worked with and I have been lucky enough to teach and learn from some truly remarkable children and artists.

I have also worked with Girls Up Loud in Nashville, a singing program for middle and high school girls which is dedicated to supporting, nurturing, and empowering each girl's unique and beautiful voice. In addition to these programs I have worked as a babysitter and nanny for the past 12 years. I’ve worked consistently with families in the city for my two years here, with kids ranging from 4 months to 11 years old.

Most recently I just completed over a year living in Tokyo, Japan and performing as a singer at Tokyo Disneyland. I loved Japan and am currently studying Japanese!

I enjoy exploring the creative sides of myself professionally as a singer and actor as well as recreationally through vinyasa yoga and literature. I am organized, positive, and hard working. I love working with children because they are uninhibited in their creativity and honesty and I love to help them learn and explore. I believe that working with children helps me to learn and grow myself.
