About me

At 12 years old in Birmingham, Alabama, my career with childcare began. After teaching friends and family basic horseback riding principles, I decided to turn it into a business and began advertising for riding lessons in my community. Seven years of teaching lent me experience teaching children ages three years old (and three-year-old triplets!) to age sixteen, and literally every age in between. After moving to the city and leaving my horses at home, I began babysitting instead. Having babysat consistently the entire time I've lived here, I have now learned the tricks of the trade of urban childcare, strollers in subways and all.

As a babysitter, I am passionate about seeing kids grow and learn, while also having fun. Whether that takes the form of homework help in afternoons, museum visits on summer days, or simply looking up the answers to the little questions they ask instead of simply saying, "I don't know," I am dedicated to seeing children grow in their strengths and interests while enjoying learning.

Although babysitting is a lucrative job, for me it is also an opportunity to serve. I am passionate about helping the entire family I am set to work with, leaving each room at least a little bit cleaner than I found it and being of whatever general help I can be during my time.
