About me

I have been caring for children ever since my younger sister was born. As the oldest of three, I've always taken pride in helping my siblings learn and grow. As a kiddo, I was very social and loved playdates. I enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing pretend, which is what I still do today as an actor! I went to Temple University to study theater where I graduated with honors and, while pursuing my degree, I worked with multiple camps and theater companies as a teaching artist. Since then, I have been working in NYC and regionally as a performer. Caring for children reminds me of why I do theater -- kids are the best storytellers in the world and their creativity is absolutely infectious. As an artist, I find nothing more inspiring than caring, mentoring, and teaching children.

Over the years, I have worked with many families in Philadelphia and NYC. I have worked mostly for families with siblings so I feel comfortable juggling more than one child at once. I have been primarily an after school sitter, though I also have experience with date night sitting and even overnights. For one Smartsitting family, I started when their girls were 6 and 1 and ended when they were about 8 and 3. I mostly worked with the 6 year old, and did after school pickup, homework help, shuttling to activities, meal prep, and bedtime routine. I use many of my skills from acting in my babysitting. I am very flexible and can often problem solve very well while under pressure -- improvisation is key!

I'm a unique sitter because I believe that finding creativity within discipline is the best child care philosophy. I provide children with a safe, exciting environment where they feel free to explore their creativity with ample encouragement. My energy, endurance, and flexibility have shaped and enhanced my abilities as a babysitter.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love sharing my passion for "playing pretend" with children! I love engaging them with creative games that use their imaginations! I enjoy reading and like engaging kids with books and stories. I love taking walks and being outdoors so I would share that as well. Another thing I love to teach is cooking! I think it's great when kids can get involved in the kitchen.
