About me
As the oldest of four children, I have always been a natural, patient, and energetic caregiver. Working as a nanny throughout college was the perfect choice for me, providing flexibility. After graduation, I continued working with youth, volunteering with AmeriCorps., teaching an after-school college-access program for low-income, first-generation students. As an adult who overcame childhood adversity, youth outreach and education is a cause I feel personally connected to, and I am proud of this experience and my student’s continued success.
Now, having worked as a nanny and family manager for 13 years, I can honestly say it is the most fun, laughter-inducing, and rewarding profession. I get to make kids feel special every day, whether it is by helping them pursue their greatest strengths or learn something new. Over the years I have worked across all age groups, from newborns to teens, but I also focus on home organization, cooking, and driving.
When I am not working, I enjoy sewing, knitting, and working on my handmade toy business. The kids I care for love that I am a "Crafty Nanny!" After teaching one of the girls to sew by hand, she crafted a pocket-sized, heart-shaped pillow, or “lovey,” that her mother continues to carry in her purse every day. I also love scuba diving, and the children love to hear my stories of swimming alongside sharks and barracuda!

In 5 years, I hope to be...
I have so many goals that I hope to accomplish, including going to graduate school, writing a book, and opening my own fabric store that also offers sewing and textile classes.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I really enjoy arts and crafts and I am lucky that all the kids I work with do too! I really love when I can work on a project they haven't done before, such as modeling with clay or using a glue gun for the first time. They get really excited for new things and I'm always inspired by their imaginations.
