About me

I grew up in sunny San Diego, California surrounded by a loving family. My parents, twin brother, and older brother were always there for me and we shared many happy memories together. Our home was often full of people, with grandparents, aunts, and cousins coming to stay with us. Being close to my family has always been very important to me. I feel lucky to have grown up in such a caring and supportive environment. Family has taught me values like kindness, patience, and how to help each other and these are things I carry with me every day. From a young age, I have loved school. The school was a place where I felt challenged and excited to grow. After getting my associate’s degree in Communications, I decided to keep going and work toward my bachelor’s degree in the same field. I’ve always been interested in how people communicate with each other and I’m excited to keep learning about this as I continue my education. I believe that strong communication is important for building good relationships and I look forward to using my degree in the future. Another big part of my life growing up was gymnastics. I started competing as a Junior Olympic gymnast when I was 6 years old and it taught me many important lessons. Gymnastics helped me learn discipline, focus, and perseverance. It showed me how to keep going even when things were tough and how to stay calm in difficult situations. These lessons from gymnastics have stayed with me and have helped me in many areas of my life, including my work with children. As a nanny, I find that the skills I learned in gymnastics help me every day. I’m able to stay calm and patient when things get busy, which makes the children I care for feel safe and comfortable.

I have been working with children for over five years, gaining valuable experience in a variety of roles, from nannying to coaching gymnastics. My experience ranges from caring for infants as young as 4 months old to engaging with toddlers and school-age children. My responsibilities have varied based on the age group but always center around ensuring the safety, well-being, and developmental growth of the children in my care. I had the pleasure of working with the Smith family part-time, caring for twin infants who eventually transitioned into toddlers during my time with them. My role involved all aspects of infant and toddler care, from feeding and diapering to coordinating naps and managing mealtimes as they transitioned to solids. I took the twins to the park for walks, played games that encouraged fine and gross motor skills, and facilitated early language development through reading and interactive play. Safety and well-being were always my top priority and I worked closely with the parents to create consistent routines for the twins, helping them thrive in their early developmental stages. I began working part-time with the Konoske family when their baby was just 4 months old. In my current role as a professional nanny, I oversee all aspects of infant care. This includes feeding, diapering, and ensuring the baby’s comfort and safety at all times. I maintain a consistent routine to help establish healthy sleeping and eating habits while keeping parents informed with regular updates and clear communication. I also implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate both cognitive and physical development, including tummy time, music play, and early sensory activities. I take great care to ensure the child’s environment is safe, engaging, and supportive of their growth. My background as a competitive gymnast has allowed me to coach children in gymnastics, teaching them the basics of balance, strength, and flexibility. This has given me a deep understanding of how to encourage children to push themselves while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. I am certified in CPR and BLS, which enables me to respond effectively in case of emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.

One of the things I love most is being active and creative. Whether it's playing sports, exploring the outdoors, or coming up with fun crafts and activities, I enjoy finding new ways to stay engaged and keep things exciting. Being a competitive Junior Olympic gymnast helped shape my love for movement and physical challenges. Even today, I try to stay active, whether that’s going for a hike, practicing yoga, or just enjoying a walk around town. My love for movement connects so well with my work with children as I believe physical activity is important for their growth, development, and happiness. I love introducing children to new activities that help them stay active and healthy. Whether it’s playing a game of tag, going on nature walks, or setting up an obstacle course, I enjoy watching kids discover how fun physical activities can be. It’s exciting to see them improve their motor skills, build confidence, and just have fun moving their bodies. This sense of joy and accomplishment is something I try to instill in every child I care for as I believe it’s important for them to grow up enjoying being active. Another thing I really enjoy is being creative, especially when it comes to arts and crafts. I love finding new ways to express myself through drawing and painting even though I am not the best at it. When I work with children I like to incorporate creativity into our time together. I believe creativity not only helps children develop fine motor skills but also encourages them to think outside the box and express themselves in new ways. Whether it’s making homemade gifts, building a fort out of blankets, or painting a picture, I think creativity opens up a whole new world for children to explore and learn from. My love for children and my motivation to pursue work in childcare come from a deep desire to help others and make a positive impact. Growing up, I was always surrounded by family and I learned early on how important it is to take care of the people you love. This strong sense of family has carried into my adult life, and I’ve found that working with children is one of the most rewarding ways to share that care and support. Children are so full of potential and I find joy in helping them discover the world around them, learn new skills, and become confident in themselves. Watching a child’s face light up when they learn something new or accomplish something they’ve been working on is one of the most fulfilling experiences. The work I do as a nanny allows me to be a positive influence in children’s lives, and that is something that motivates me every day. I believe that every child is unique and I try to approach each child with an open mind, taking the time to understand their needs and interests. My philosophy on childcare is simple, I believe that children thrive in environments where they feel safe, valued, and supported. I work hard to create a positive space where kids can explore, make mistakes, and grow without fear of judgment. I think it’s important to set boundaries and routines, but also to allow children to be themselves and express their personalities. At the end of the day, I want the children I care for to feel loved, heard, and empowered.
