About me
I was born and raised in New York, specifically Yonkers. I come from a family of mostly immigrants who migrated from the Dominican Republic in search of a better life here in the States. I had a really beautiful and memorable childhood. As a young child, I danced ballet and played many sports. As the youngest of three sisters, I was surrounded by children from an early age, becoming an aunt while still quite young due to a significant age gap with my siblings. Growing up, I was lucky enough to have a two-parent household, however, when I entered high school, my parents separated, and my mother took on all of the responsibilities of raising me. Being a single mother and taking on babysitting responsibilities early on, I naturally developed a nurturing, maternal personality. Known as the “mom” in my friend group, I’ve always loved taking care of others, especially children. My passion for helping others led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, which I completed during the challenging times of the COVID pandemic. I’ve always been drawn to community service and making a positive impact, which seamlessly aligns with my love for childcare.
I began taking childcare more seriously when I graduated high school and got my first "real" job as a teacher's assistant. During my time as a TA, I worked closely with pre-teens and developed great relationships with these kids as we were not too far apart in age. Once I entered my 20's I quickly realized I could take child-care into my adulthood and really dive into the field. I worked with special needs children for some time, which opened my eyes to a completely different side of child care that I adore and have so much compassion for. I worked with two children for 4 years, ages 5 and 7, as well as my most recent family with an infant who was 6 months when I started. I still have an amazing relationship with all the families I've worked for.
Becoming a professional nanny is a natural fit and such a rewarding profession, allowing me to blend my skills, education, and passion. I am dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and engaging environment for the children I care for, supporting their growth and well-being in every way I can.
