About me
I am a freshman in Early Childhood Education with a passion for working with children. As a child, I enjoyed imaginative play and being surrounded by friends. Although I have two half-siblings and a step-brother on my father’s side, I grew up with my mother. My journey in childcare began early, when I volunteered at two churches and tutored part-time at a school for over a year and a half, finding immense joy and purpose in supporting children’s growth and learning.
In 2021, I moved to the US as an Au Pair and have since worked with children ages 4 months to 10 years in various roles including teacher’s assistant, au pair, nanny, and babysitter. These experiences have deepened my understanding and love of early childhood education, inspiring me to pursue formal education in the field.
I have developed strong social skills in patience, empathy, and adaptability, which allow me to connect with children and meet their individual needs effectively. I am bilingual in English and Portuguese and have learned basic Spanish through the diversity I have encountered in the US, which has enriched my cultural awareness and communication skills.
Working with children is truly fascinating to me, their curiosity and openness inspire me daily. I am passionate about creating a nurturing environment where they feel safe to explore, learn, and grow. As someone with hands-on experience and a deep commitment to fostering child development, I am excited to bring my skills, compassion, and enthusiasm to a nanny role that supports families and young minds.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
In five years, I see myself as a graduate of my degree, balancing a rewarding career working with children with disabilities with a fulfilling personal life. Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love creating activities that are tailored to each child’s unique personality, helping them learn in ways that resonate with them. I strive to balance being firm and structured with a warm and caring approach, ensuring that they feel supported and encouraged. I enjoy sharing songs in my native language, exploring fun recipes together, and focusing on activities that build life skills and developmental growth. For me, teaching is about making learning enjoyable and meaningful for each child.
