About me
I grew up in Bloomfield, NJ with three brothers. I am the third in my family with two older and one younger. As a child, I was always that kid who played outside with my friends and loved my Nintendo systems when I would be home and taking care of my little brother. He was my shadow that followed and wanted to be everywhere I would go. In high school, I fell in love with volleyball and played all 4 years. But when I went to college I decided to study Dance at Montclair State University. My family told me I started dancing as soon as I could walk. I really worked hard through the program because I was not classically trained and had to learn ballet, modern, and jazz from scratch. Once I graduated I was lucky enough to book Mamma Mia the Musical on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and got to travel through Europe and the Caribbean for a couple of years.
I've been working in childcare for 12 years now. It started when I worked as a lifeguard at Mountain Creek Waterpark. Camps would always visit and I thought how amazing it would be to be a part of that. So I did my research and was hired by a sleepaway camp called Island Lake Camp to be a Circus Counselor where I took care of the the boys ages 6-9. I spent 7 Summers at this camp where I worked through the rankings to be the Head Counselor. I got my first nanny gig from one of my camper's and worked in Bridgehampton, NY where I would watch 3 siblings (2 boys and a girl) on the weekends. I took a break for a couple of years to work in the Dance Industry and when I came home I started working at the Kids Academy at Lifetime Athletic. This is where I was hired for multiple babysitting gigs from infants to preteens. I even got two nanny gigs, one for a 2-year-old boy while his parents were working from home and another family when the boy and girl were 1 and 4. My duties would include laundry, making baby bottles, cleaning, cooking, strolls around the park, building castles with the big Lego blocks, and other tasks.
I love the magic that comes with taking care of kids. Being able to create a safe space and be a positive influence on them is so important in the growth of them being the best versions of themselves.
