About me

Hello! My name is Tracey, and I am a dedicated, experienced nanny with over 5 years of in-home childcare experience. I’ve had the pleasure of working with children ranging from newborns to school-aged, including infant twins and children with special needs. My journey in childcare has been both rewarding and diverse, giving me the opportunity to nurture children's growth at every stage. My childcare philosophy is rooted in Montessori principles, as I am Montessori certified, allowing me to create hands-on learning experiences that foster independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning.

In my previous roles, I’ve supported families by managing a wide range of responsibilities. This includes everything from diaper changes, bottle feeding, and infant care to sleep training, potty training, and preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals. I prioritize creating a structured yet adaptable routine to help children feel secure and thrive. I’ve also taken on household management tasks like organizing the child’s play areas, handling their laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating environment.

I believe that outdoor activities are essential for children’s development, so I love organizing nature walks, park outings, and physical play to encourage both fitness and a connection with nature. I also enjoy crafting Montessori-inspired indoor activities that promote creativity, cognitive growth, and social skills—all while ensuring a screen-free environment.

I’m proud of my ability to communicate openly and effectively with parents, collaborating to align on developmental goals and routines. My strong educational background, including a biology degree with a minor in psychology, gives me a deeper understanding of child development, health, and well-being. I am also tech-savvy and fluent in both English and Creole, which allows me to connect with diverse families and bring a multicultural perspective to my caregiving.

Currently, I am looking for a long-term position with a family where I can contribute my skills in providing a nurturing, supportive, and enriching environment for their children. I am available Monday to Friday, with flexible hours to accommodate your family’s needs. I am committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the children I care for, helping them explore, learn, and reach their developmental milestones with joy and confidence.

If you’re searching for a reliable, proactive, and loving nanny who is passionate about childcare, I would love to connect with you. Let’s work together to create a happy, healthy, and thriving environment for your little ones!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years, I hope to be continuing my journey in childcare, either as a trusted nanny or a family assistant, while expanding my skills in child development and early education. I aim to deepen my expertise in Montessori methods and perhaps even pursue certifications that allow me to provide even more enriching experiences for the children I care for. Additionally, I hope to grow my tech skills, combining my passion for technology and childcare to create educational resources or programs. Ultimately, I want to be in a role that allows me to make a positive impact on families while continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Activities and skills I love to teach and share with children include hands-on Montessori activities that spark curiosity and foster independence. I enjoy introducing them to arts and crafts, early literacy, and sensory play to boost creativity and fine motor skills. I also love engaging children in cooking simple, healthy recipes, which helps them learn about nutrition and basic kitchen skills. Encouraging outdoor play and nature exploration is important to me, as it promotes physical fitness and a love for the environment. Additionally, I focus on social-emotional skills, like sharing, empathy, and effective communication, to support their overall development.
