About me

I grew up in West Nyack, NY just an hour north of the city. My dad is a NYC tour guide, so was exposed to NYC culture at an early age, such as music, the Knicks, museums, architecture, food, and people!

I was involved in a lot of sports, tennis, basketball, softball, and soccer. I now am involved with boxing and basketball.
My sister, Lisa is 8 years older than me, she has two teen boys and lives in NJ. Since graduating from SUNY Purchase with a degree in Anthropology, I have worked as a guitar teacher, tutor, nanny, professional musician, babysitter, and counselor to kids at a shelter.

I’ve worked with children since I was 14 when I was a camp counselor. I’ve worked with newborns to teenagers. I’ve potty trained, changed diapers, warmed milk, have stroller experience through subways and parks and all around the city, worked full days with kids for long periods, taught kids ages 7-16 the guitar, set up playdates, cooked for kids, done pickups, date nights, overnights, worked with kids with autism and other special needs.

I love to keep kids active and focus my time with them. I’m a strong advocate of not being on my phone too much. I love going to museums, parks, and exhibits, and playing sports, and games with kids. I also love to have kids I’m with help with baking and cooking. I’m happy to bring my guitar too! I believe in finding distractions when kids are distressed and being patient and calm. I’ve always had a natural connection with kids, so decided in addition to music working with kids, was what I wanted to be doing with my life.
