About me

I grew up in Jamaica as one of six siblings, where family life was always lively and full of activity. Although I wasn’t the eldest, I still played a key role in helping care for my younger brothers and sisters, which sparked my passion for childcare. As a child, I was deeply involved in track and field, an experience that taught me discipline, focus, and teamwork—values I bring into my childcare work. After graduating from Touro College with a degree in Liberal Arts and Science, I realized my true calling was in working with children. I’ve been a professional nanny for over 20 years, and my experiences have only strengthened my commitment to providing children with the best care possible.

With over two decades of experience, I’ve worked with children from infancy through pre-teens. My first nanny role involved caring for a newborn, where I was responsible for feeding, diapering, sleep routines, and supporting developmental milestones. Over the years, I’ve worked with families on a full-time, part-time, and occasional basis, handling everything from school pick-ups to meal prep and educational activities. I also have significant experience working with children who have special needs, where I’ve partnered with families to create a nurturing, structured environment. I hold certifications in CPR, first aid, and child safety, which allow me to ensure the well-being of every child in my care. Additionally, I’m fluent in both English and Jamaican Patois, making me well-equipped to connect with children from various cultural backgrounds.

I’m a caring, energetic, and patient person who thrives in environments where I can make a positive impact on a child's development. Outside of childcare, I enjoy staying active through track and field and sharing traditional Jamaican cooking with the families I work with. What motivates me most in my career is the ability to help children grow emotionally, intellectually, and physically. I believe every child deserves a safe, stimulating space to explore their world, and I take pride in being a positive role model. For me, being a nanny isn’t just a job—it’s a rewarding opportunity to help shape the future, one child at a time.
