About me
Hello! I’m Harrison. I grew up in Philadelphia, PA with my mom and an ever-changing household of cats. I went to a Quaker school from grades 1-8, and I enjoyed trading cards, soccer, and video games. Throughout my teenage years, I babysat extensively for family-- from supervising my cousins in-home to taking them on day trips and ski adventures. I attended Temple University where I studied Film with a Production focus. After school, I was a producer on a PBS art newsmagazine show, which was an amazing experience that allowed me to flex my creative muscles and travel extensively.
As a young adult, I discovered climbing and fell in love with the sport-- it's a great mix of physical and mental challenges with a tremendously welcoming community. I started working in climbing gyms while I attended school, and over the last 10 years, my positions have led me to work with kids extensively-- from running summer camps to leading recreational classes to giving recurring private lessons, and it was always my favorite part of the job. After a series of roles in gyms, my goal has become to reclaim joy in my work life, and this has led me to sit and nanny.
I've been actively providing childcare since May of 2024. I work with several families on a recurring basis-- one with two boys ages 7 + 8 and the other with two boys ages 4 + 7. I do both before and after-school care. My responsibilities range from walking the kids through their morning routine and bringing them to school, to homework supervision, leading enrichment activities, coordinating extracurricular logistics, planning + cooking meals, and managing bedtime routines. I also sit for a variety of families on evenings and weekends, where my role varies from playing + entertaining to leading extensive outings including coordinating transportation, planning activities, and more.
I believe in honest communication and figuring out what type of support is needed by the kids I work with. I love to teach and to learn, and I thoroughly enjoy asking and answering questions. I love figuring out how to explain a concept in a way that will be received and understood at a developmentally appropriate level.
I have professional child care experience with...

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to play all types of games-- board, active, video, word, invented, remixed-- and I'm a master of silliness and fun generation. I enjoy activity— climbing (especially), swimming, biking, snowboarding, soccer, racquet sports, and more. I’m always down for a catch, quick spike ball match, or kick around with a soccer ball. I LOVE making and running scavenger hunts. I have a variety of props, puzzles and clues that raise the production value and make the hunts feel really special. I’ve done these both in home and in the outside world, and it’s magical every time. I enjoy cooking + teaching kids how to cook! I have many dishes that I make regularly, but I love pushing out of my comfort zone to make spectacular creations. I love using my film school / TV production skills to shoot + edit fun videos with kids! I’m constantly making highlight reels of sitting adventures and sending them to parents. I bring a magnetic tripod with me everywhere I go, and I love teaching kids I work with about *movie magic*
