About me

My name is Anita and I am from the island of Barbados and grew up there with my family and finished high school there. As the first of 3 siblings, I was able to help my single mom take care of my brother and sister as the oldest child I remember braiding my sister's hair and taking her to school. Growing up in Barbados and going to school I love playing cricket, basketball, and netball I also love being on the tracks where I would participate in the 100 and 200 meters and relay. As a young girl growing up I learned how to cooked an early age and that’s how I have a passion for cooking.

I came to America at the age of 26 years old, living in another country was new and sometimes hard and lonely but I was able to pull through and make it work for my family, While doing so my first job here was taking off the elderly where I would spend the week with her and then go back with family for the weekends for me that was something new and interesting. After that I got my first job as a nanny working with two wonderful kids with one not afraid to speak her mind none less I spent all week with the family and soul also left for the weekends and it felt like I had more family here being a young woman in another country and not having many relatives here they treated me like part of the family.I love taking care of kids watching them grow and being good kids and not afraid to say what’s on their minds. As long as I am here I will continue to be the best caregiver I can be, I met some wonderful people so far and have great memories and wonderful references.
