About me
I grew up in the Bronx, New York, where I was raised in a tight-knit community alongside my two siblings. As a child, I loved being active outdoors and enjoyed exploring the city’s many parks, which helped spark my love for nature and adventure. I graduated with a degree in education and hold certifications in bilingual teaching and am currently pursuing another degree in special needs education. I have been working within the field of early childhood education, focusing on creating engaging and supportive environments for young learners. My experiences both in the classroom and in my own family life have deepened my understanding of child development and the importance of patient, responsive care.
With over seventeen years of experience working with children, I have held various positions, including nanny, part-time babysitter, tutor, paraprofessional, and teacher. I have worked with children ranging from infants to school-aged kids, including those with special needs, where I developed a keen sense of how to adapt to each child’s unique learning style and needs. My work as a teacher’s assistant in a special needs classroom has equipped me with skills in behavior management, structured routines, and personalized learning. I’m also fluent in Spanish and have tutored bilingual students, helping them navigate language barriers in learning. From changing diapers and feeding infants to planning interactive activities and assisting in academic growth, my roles have all emphasized my passion for nurturing children in a supportive and loving environment.
I find joy in creating spaces where children feel heard, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. I believe that consistency and kindness go a long way in fostering a child’s growth and well-being. Outside of childcare, I love hiking, art, and music, which I try to incorporate into my interactions with children through nature walks, craft projects, and reading. I’m driven by the belief that children are capable of remarkable things when they feel secure and supported, and I aim to be a positive influence in their lives, helping them explore their world with curiosity and confidence.

In five years, I hope to have expanded my experience and knowledge in child development and early childhood education. My goal is to continue working closely with children and families, refining my skills in providing nurturing, personalized care and support. I also aspire to further my education in areas such as child psychology and special education to deepen my understanding of children’s emotional and developmental needs. Ultimately, I aim to contribute to creating positive, enriching environments for children to thrive and grow, whether in a classroom, home, or community setting.
