About me

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with my mother and stepfather. My mother is Jamaican as well as my stepfather and my birth father is Haitian. I am a twin with a boy, I’m older by one minute. On my mother's side, I have an older sister, on my father's side I have 2 younger brothers. I have always been a family girl, I have many cousins and twins that run in my family. Every holiday everyone goes by my grandmother's house and we spend the whole day together from morning to night eating traditional Jamaican meals. Growing up I enjoyed my childhood I used to model, dance, cheerlead for a football team crochet as a hobby which I loved. My second grade teacher taught me how to crochet and it always stuck with me years after.

As a child, my dream was to open up my own daycare center. I always had a passion for working with the little ones. I used to always offer to babysit my little cousins and kids from my old neighborhood in Canarsie, Brooklyn. I started off being a babysitter and then a daycare worker during the Summer-youth program where I got to experience working with different ages and following a day to day-to-day schedule. After I graduated from HS in Williamsburg in 2013, I went to Kingsborough Community College to major in Fashion Design and got my first real job as a cashier at Century 21 Department store and I despised it. After a few months of working retail, I realized it wasn’t for me and I left to go back into the child care career as a nanny with my first family in 2014 from care.com. In 2016 I attended Touro College and changed my major to childhood education then in 2017 my family and I had to move to Long Island, NY where I had to take a pause to complete college. It was a big difference from Brooklyn and a sudden change but I was excited for a new beginning. I applied to work for a private school in Long Island and that’s when I got experience doing ABA Therapy and working with kids that’s on the spectrum which I loved! A child with special needs will inspire you to be a special kind of person. I am going back to get my degree in the early childhood field as a Social worker because I want to make a difference in the little lives that I come across.
