About me

Hi, I'm Janna! I'm positive, adaptable, and always excited to meet new people and explore new cultures. After graduating from college, I taught English in Spain and later worked as a personal assistant for an ultra-high-net-worth family. I enjoy staying active with yoga and jogging on the WSH and love experimenting in the kitchen (my latest adventures are in sourdough and kombucha!). I also enjoy cultural events like museums and concerts and I’m a big fan of solo traveling—my most recent trip was to Albania!

I’ve had a variety of childcare experiences, from being a live-in personal assistant to babysitting in the evenings to providing full-time care while parents are away on vacation. I enjoy keeping things organized but am always adaptable to new circumstances. My experience spans from caring for babies learning to sit up to supporting an equestrian teen in her competitions. As a PA, I worked closely with a tween with a mobility disability, and as an English teacher, I supported students with learning differences. I love creating safe, nurturing spaces where children can thrive and develop their independence.

I enjoy working with kids 3 years and older because it's fun to engage in conversations with them as they start to express their thoughts and ideas. It's exciting to see their personalities develop and to support them as they learn and grow!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love baking with kids as it is an opportunity to teach them new skills in the kitchen. I also enjoy reading, especially when kids are learning to read, and we can take turns practicing and exploring new stories together.
